I'm downloading the demo tonight =] I'd buy, but with Burst Limit released on the same day, Ninja Gaiden just can't compete..

Still looks awesome, have you heard about Itigaki quitting temcho?

Oh, and awesome thread =] all you could ever want to know

It's either down or up hill from here, with Itagaki gone Tecmo basically have a license to run this shit into the ground, or actually improve upon the series.

So they are able to make another? That would certainly be interesting...

At the end of the day, he didn't create the game by himself, so as long as you have someone with common sense in charge, you could create another sequel, perhaps even with *shock horror* a proper story XD

Yeah shame he has left the company. I think the series will continue.

Although I have a feeling Itagaki will join Microsoft as he is a big fan of the Xbox brand.

It might all be for the better =] The Ninja Gaiden series will have a chance it expand and develop, whilst Itagaki will have the chance to create a brand new IP

I'm not sure, he also seems to be a big fan of Nintendo's current consoles so joining MS would mean he wouldn't be able to develop for the Wii.

Sounds like a win win situation for all involved.

Seriously looking forward to this tomorrow(shopto have dispatched mine). NG2 is to me what MGS4 is to PS3 owners.

Only difference is while we're slashing away like a kick ass ninja they'll be sitting through hour long cutscenes.

^ Only difference being that MGS4 seems to be reviewing better than NG2 :p I've been hearing a lot about frame rate issues, as well as that ever annoying camera from the first game rearing it's ugly head.

I'll buy it eventually, but I'm in no rush. I need to finish the first one first, and then I'll probably buy it when it's on offer for like..£20 or less.

I'm with Gavvie, I don't think I can afford full retail, and I'd take MGS4 over Ninja Gaiden

I might see about getting it on monday, since I like some game in my games. Especially when that game is freaking awesome.

You can buy region free Ninja Gaiden 2 from play asia for just £25, talk about a bargain!

Speaking of, I was thinking of making a thread where you can post any good deals you find on videogames, old, new, etc. has it been done already, and do you think its a good idea?

Gavvie
04-06-2008, 15:49
I don't think it's been done here, you could always search for it.

If it hasn't though, it sounds like a good idea. NG2 for £25 isn't a bargain though, once you factor in import costs. You probably only end up saving a fiver, which isn't a great deal. I could save that much and buy it from the UK if I shopped around.

I've still not finished the first one. I don't like God Of War in my defence though. I'll get this when I can be arsed, the dismembering and gore looks entertaining.

I wasn't comparing MGS4 to this in terms of gameplay or owt, I was just meaning that PS3 gamers are super hyped for MGS4 and I am of the same level excitement for this:biggrin:

Never liked an MGS game anyway so I can't say I'd be hyped for MGS4.

Just played the demo and it's fantastic, not alot has changed since the previous game sadly but it's alot more brutal and totally awesome.

Just played the demo, I'm gonna order from Play Asia

Plays and looks exactly like Ninja Gaiden 1, Camera is a really big problem now and then...I can imagine fights getting frustratingly difficult (getting ganged up by three guys on hard will be death) but still...it has that certain fun factor =] can't ignore it!

On to Chapter 3 in New York now and the game just keeps getting better. The combat is sublime and easily the best in the genre.

This is easily my favourite game on 360 after Virtua Fighter 5.

The mission mode that was in the original iteration was incredibly popular among the franchise faithful for its focus on the game's main strength: pure combat. There are of course no details on how the implementation will work, but as long as it isn't just more of the Tests of Valor (we're really tired of that environment) we'll be ready to shell out the points if this hits on the 25th. Anyone else out there spot this on the Marketplace yet?
