View Full Version : Music
Actually this is a dual thread.
1: Promotes healthy discussion on the Music series by Jester Interactive and Codemasters
And...
2: Helps answer my question.
I have personally loved this series since it first came out, purely cause it meant I can make my own tracks up for a laugh and to have on in the background while cleaning (or doing my makeup and hair). But I'm sort of lost on how I get tracks off it. I don't know how to connect it to a PC for track extraction to MP3 or OggVorbis. Any help? Or do you just hate the series? ^_^
I've never heard of the series
But it sounds very interseting :)
You never heard of it!?
Music is a game where you create your own music and mixes, bit limited on PS1 hardware but you can still do quite a bit. You can even sample CDs for extra samples to play in your own tracks. I used to do near 10 minute chillout tracks that took a day to create. Really good series. ^_^
There's so many =] did you ever try Ejay on the PC? I tend to to a lot of stuff with real instruments..
I sort of vuagley remember it but never owned it -_- I wouldn't have thought you could get a PS1 to hook up to a computer though?

No I've always been a Music user. Helps speed time along when your doing your makeup! ^_^

I remember playing a demo of this when it came out but always thought it was a bit gash. I suppose you could make a video of a smiley face to cheer yourself up at least.
I used to have demo of music2000 for the PS1 used to love playing it until my dad lended it to someomne and never got it back. I'm also still waiting for my Aladin VHS he lent to someone over a decade ago!XD
Hm I had Music and Music 2000, pretty good, except I have no musical talent. :(

You have a good eye for soundtracks though.
I had a demo of this once but it didn't interest me. I prefer doing mixes on my PC as it's not so limited. Besides, I'm more of an editor/remixer than making my own stuff from scratch.
Even considering the limited specs of a PS1 Music still does a really good job. I manage to make up to 30 minute track mixes. ^_^
I've never given Music a go actually. I was an eJay person, but now I use FL Studio with various guitar and synth plugins. Very good ^_^ Not made anything approaching the 10 minute mark though.
A friend of mine compose trance music with the program. She even got a tune played on the radio after having won a music competition:)
