Mr Driller is probably the game I've played the most for the DS. I got this game called Freshly Picked which is alright too.
You guys forgot to mention Brain Age 2

It's also coming to the Wii apparently, though I'd rather have it on DS.

Well it's still coming to DS, I just read somewhere it's making it's way to the Wii like that Crystal Chronicles game.
I think you're ignoring The World Ends With You, because it uses the DS capabilities at 100%!

Nintendo DS, a dream console for anyone who loves shovelware! Can't beleive Nintendo allow companies to tarnish their systems with such tripe, thank god for my PSP. :P
I laughed, sad that those 20 are only like .01% of the shovelware avaliable

Though that (shovelware) is not the only stuff available for the DS. :P

That's true :P I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say you're a Castlevania fan? What are the DS versions like? :) SOTN is probably the onle one I've finished, and it was just fantastic

There's a lot of ecchi stuff on DS (I'm looking at you 7Force, if I think it I know you do as well)

The Ds suffers from the same problem as the PS2. It enjoys from a worldwide success, so every monkey tries to make a half-cooked game to join the bandwagon. Sad, but true.

Well, Marks list makes a valid point. It's also for celebrities to appear in half-assed games >_<.

Celebrities are sort of okay...
I mean, say Gears 3 comes along and Keanu Reeves stands there "Massive aliens are invading earth, and its up to you to blow shit up, go"
:D that'd be awesome
But some halfwit tennis player...or...hell I honestly don't know any of the Nintendo celebrities except Star Trek dude.

No shit, Sherlock (zOMG pun!). :P
Yes, I love Castlevania. Castlevania > All. :D
The DS versions are pretty cool. They all have the same style SotN has, too (Castleroid/Metroidvania - meaning that you're exploring Dracula's Castle without being really bound to go through levels). There's Dawn of Sorrow, the sequel to Aria of Sorrow, which is quite good. Then there's Portrait of Ruin, imo a really good game, it just has a little bit of a silly story. But the team mechanic is quite interesting and Charlotte's spells are friggin awesome. And of course there's Order of Ecclesia, which takes a step in a completely new direction with making it more RPG-like. You have to go through various areas fulfilling quests before you can go to Dracula's Castle.

I haven't played the new Castlevania game, but the old one is an essential purchase because you can use a copy of Don Quixote as a weapon. It's almost as cool as a Killer French Bread. Almost.
Sherlock

That's Portrait of Ruin. Charlotte, the mage, uses books summoning spirits out of it.
Don Quixote is one of them, among others - coming directly from literature would be Tristan & Isolde and the Book of Death.

I to like consoles with very few games.

Holy hell that would be boring, would the advert have Wooden Reeves or Terrible Southen Accent Reeves?
Picard in the adverts is awesome though.
Edit: Portrait of Ruin is pretty decent if you like you ears attacked with the constant sound of "Jonathan!" "Charlotte!".

@Reknoc:
If you turn the games voice on Japanese, they sound so much more cooler. I dunno. Having them shout "Jonasann!" and "Charuotto!" (yes, that's in bold) and having Charlotte shouting her spell names in horrible Engrish makes up a lot.

I cannot give a full 20 reasons but I can give you 5:
1- An M3 Cart
2- MegaDrive emulator
3- NES emulator
4- SNES emulator
5- GameBoy Colour emulator
Yea I know, I'm a bad, bad man..... Going straight to pirate hell.
Not all bad at least I've got some decent games to play on the way.
Are people forgetting the various colours and aspects of having it as a fashion accessory?
Dr Shaneman
21-03-2009, 00:36
Yes because since when is the DS fashion?
Yes because since when is the DS fashion?
Since they pasted bus stops with images of Girls Aloud playing Nintendogs. That or I missed Gok Wang saying that a DS would look fabulous no matter what you wear or not wear I dunno.
Since when Nintendo decided that just having silver as an option was no good, and starting whoring colours out here, there and everywhere.
Microsoft and Sony are guilty of it too, only MS tend to only release special coloured Xboxes as limited editions, Elite aside.
Mena, that's what iPods are for :P the DS doesn't quite work.
Edit: I'd say MS are innocent, Sony do it with the PSP and tell you what...they look effing sweet, I want a red one XD
Mena, that's what iPods are for :P the DS doesn't quite work.
I'd say DS's work better, no one gets their Ipod out, they set songs on and shove it in their pocket quickly so no one knows they have one so they can't get mugged.
Lol, didn't think I'd start a debate.
From a fairly shallow girls' point of view, I was begging Gav's ears off two years ago because I wanted a pretty pink one. It was something to play Yoshi on, but I wanted it to look good at the same time. iPods don't quite do the same job because they tend to stay in peoples pockets no matter how nifty they look, but it's not exactly convenient playing your DS out of your pocket when you're on the train :P

But people may say "look at that DS nerd".

You're kidding right? Nobody says that because just about everyone has a DS.
You're kidding right? Nobody says that because just about everyone has a DS.
No one admits to it though.
7 year olds play the DS on the bus or train, I've never, ever seen anyone over the age of ten actually take it out in public :P anyone other than your sterotypical nerd anyway (no offense to anyone here of course, that's just what I see)
Video games are still geeky, super expensive, over-priced and pretty sexy MP3's are seen as cool, even cooler because you quickly flash them then put them away.
But people may say "look at that DS nerd".
Then I will hold my head up high!
Acting shifty whilst using public transport is not ideal, so it'd be the lesser of two evils.

Not in Cornwall.
I'm always playing my DS on the train, assuming I've got it charged it up. It's a better way to spend an hour than listening to music off my iPod, but then that might be because I always tend to keep skipping tracks I don't want to listen to XD

Well to be blunt, I drive XD so playing a DS whilst doing that would be fairly difficult.
I've seen plenty of older people play the DS on the bus, most of them women though.
I even saw someone play a PSP once! A rare find.
I've taken my PSP with me to see Mena once, I believe. Might've even been twice, I can't really remember all too well.

I played mine on the bus once, but it was rather embarresing cause I knew all the person next to me, infront of me, and probably behind me would hear was KRSHHKRZZZKRSSSHHH

I remember I took my GBA out once on the train. Apart from that, I'm always listening to my iPod. I've seen quite a few people playing their PSP on the train, but no DS players yet. Well, I must say my train rides are no longer than 30 mins.

I use my DS on long train journeys or long road trips if someone else is driving. It also helps me get to sleep at night sometimes though if I don't feel very tired.
^ I tried that once when I couldn't sleep, it kept me awake for hours :P

I probably won't get one. Not enough reason to. I don't care to play most of those games, then again I haven't played a gameboy since Pokemon Silver.
But people may say "look at that DS nerd".
Hell no I play my DS nearly every day on the bus home from work or when I go up london to the troc. I also sometimes leave my DS at home and play my PSP insted.

Quite hard to make any friends around here.Well, you always have us here at RadioSEGA :P
Anyway, I use mine to pass the time like on car trips or train. Although I haven't played DS games in a while (been messing around with DSiWare), I plan to get back into playing. Hope to get Platinum soon. Now that will give me something to do.
Well, you always have us here at RadioSEGA :P
