Hey guys,

I've been thinking recently of building a new audio server for RadioSEGA as the current Pentium 3 1GHz box is getting a bit tired, seeing as it's been hammered non-stop for over 1000 days. It's been making funny noises recently, and the old hard disk in there must be getting long in the tooth... I'm always a bit paranoid something will fail and 1000s of songs or data will be lost.

So what I'm planning is a new box that's made up of newer parts. I've got a Shuttle XPC case with motherboard here which I'm using as I can't be bothered selling it, but the missing parts to the puzzle are:

- CPU Athlon 64 (Must be AM2 / Socket 940)
- RAM 512MB or 1GB (Must be 667MHz or 800MHz DDR2 -)
- PCI-E Graphics Card (As long as it's PCI-E and standard sized, it's fine, it doesn't need to be powerful at all.)
- CD-ROM (IDE or SATA, as long as it reads CD-ROM it's all that I need)

Hard drives will be purchased brand new, as I want a matching pair to run in RAID to ensure there's protection against loss of data if a drive fails.

If you can help, please contact me.

Thanks. :)

Depending on what you mean by a standard sized PCI-E graphics card, I do have a spare Geforce 8600GTS going spare if you want it. However, despite the fact that most graphics card these days are dual slot card (as this card is), I fear you probably mean a single slot card, in which case I can't help. I do have an IDE DVD-ROM drive going spare though if you want it.

I checked an old PC to see if it had any RAM in.....it didn't. Sorry!

Let me know if any of the other stuff is of interest anyway.
