Welcome to December's game the month.
This month it's the excellent Manx TT Superbike for the Sega Saturn, released in 1997. Click Here (http://www.radiosega.net/gotm.php) to read the feature, and check out the gameplay video and more! Also a special thanks to ResidentSD for writing the feature for me!
This great game has been overlooked by many but is a fantastic arcade racer, if you're a Saturn owner try and get a copy! http://www.radiosega.net/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Did you ever play Manx TT Superbike? Did you like it and what are your memories, and do you still play it? Discuss this month's Game of the Month here!

I don't own the game but I have fond memories playing it at an old friends house... Very fun game. Like a spiritual sequel to Super HangOn.
I remember having a copy of this when the Dreamcast came out. I think I was late in getting a copy (might have been before the DC), but I fell in love with it. It was a classic title, and being a race fan, loved racing super bikes as fast as I could around the tracks. Hell of a classic with the gameplay and controls to back it up with. Maybe I should renew that super bike magazine subscription and get another copy. ^_^
This was a class game playing this in the arcades though you did look a bit of a fool playing it but at least you had fun whilst you looked a fool.
I think Fun Land in London still has a cab up and running.

OH YEAH! I remember those machines, one with the model of a bike right? Tilted right and left like on a real bike. Personally I didn't care what I looked like, I just loved it. ^_^
The bar in the soap "neighbours" has one of those arcade machines!XD
Theres 2 versions of the arcade machine, one where you just tilt the plastic bike from side to side and another where you had to move the handle bars and lean the bike.
Anyhow, I used to play this whenever I went on holiday as a teenager. My dads not a gamer, but he's a big bike enthusiast and has been round the actual Isle of Mann TT course a number of times, so with his knowledge of the course and my ability to be at least pretty decent at most racing games, we'd race each other on it, they were usually close too.

A brilliant game which I still play to this day!
I remember playing that game in the arcades but I'd prefer the Saturn version better. But it is still a good game.
The video reminds me of Super Hang-On in the way it really seems you're flying along the track. Even though Super Hang-On was not as graphically advanced as Manx TT Superbike (which I haven't played yet...). It still had that sense of speed. I think what really caused this is the checker board on the sides of the track or the landmarks and trees. It's a very good quality to have for a racing video game that not all get it right. It's also easy to pick up. (sorry if this is too off topic!)
Ah, too bad I joined so late and missed all those other great games, especially "Burning Rangers".
Manx TT, though, is just as great. I remember playing it for the first time. I couldn't believe how blazingly fast the graphics were. And it doesn't even have the slightest slowdown. Controlers were top notch, too so the only dissapointment was that it only featured 2 Tracks. I know it's an arcade game but come one... 2 Tracks? They should have added at least 4 more for the home port. :/
I borrowed this off a mate when I had a Saturn, and the best thing ever was being able to ride on a sheep. :D
It was just hilarious that the fastest bike in the game was a sheep, and still is to this day.
Aah yes, Manx TT.
I remember when this came out in the arcades. I actually didn't like it much on my first go, later finding out the arcade I went to had the cheaper machine, with the Hang On style bikes. I quickly found an arcade with the proper mechanical bikes and I was away - I must have put twenty-to-thirty quid in the machine that summer.
Shame it was so easy though. Much easier than Rally.

I remember that episode. I think it was steph and that lawyer woman who were having some kind of contest on it.

Manx TT was awesome. I'd love an XBLA release.
Does anyone remember Zoe Ball playing the Arcade version on Gamesmaster? Domink Diamond's commentary was rather funny:biggrin:
