Project Zero, aside from Silent Hill, has to be the most terrifying game made to date. Well, scares me shitless. The beauty behind it is, your not in a haunted house where spooks pop out and go "BOO!", like Resi, which to be honest, has got boring. Instead you have to look directly at them and take a photo to exorcise (assuming I spelled that right) the spirit. The game pits you into a house of horrors so to speak, where horrible things have taken place to loads of people, and the ones that died there haunt it. Is anyone else scared shitless of this or is it just me being a baby? If your brave enough, theres a couple screenshots (don't worry, no ghosties for you!).

The game is a little scary ... especially when the ghosts attack you from behind. They also got the atmosphere just right.

I bought the original on PS2 for 98p back when I used to work at Game, but ended up trading it in for around £2 because I couldn't get into it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my survival horror games, especially Resi and Silent Hill, so I'm not quite sure why I couldn't get engrossed in the world of Project Zero.

Might have to give it another go sometime, though I doubt I'll ever find it that cheap again. I also doubt it'll work on PS3...

Looks like an awesome game. I've never played a lot of games like this but you write a good description so I may check it out.

It is a good game, but don't come crying to me when your scared shitless of it and leave it collect dust on a shelf like I do. :P

Couldn't get to you to do that anyway . Games don't scare me at all. I haven't found one that does yet anyway.

The only games that've scared me have been Silent Hill 3 and Resi Evil CODE:Veronica.

Oh, and Condemned. Condemned's shit me up too many times to count, so bring on the sequel. :D

This has been a game I've been meaning to pick up for a while.

I like games that scare me but very few actually do it, the ones that do are Silent Hill, System Shock 2 and this one level on Thief: Deadly Shadows (because first person games manage to be alot scarier than third person ones), but not Resident Evil (seriously what is wrong with you Resi is about as scary as a puppy).

Fatal Frame is a goot game, but I didn't find it that scary. Prefer Resident Evil and Condemned when it comes to scary stuff. Playing these kind of games alone in the house with all lights off and with a proper sound system. That is the ultimate horror experience with these kind of games.

I played it once on the PS2 and I liked it. The next "Project Zero" will be heading for the Wii! I can't wait to get it. But there's one problem... I'm 16! XD

I think you'll be fine I think the games were rated 16+ when they can out in the UK at least.

And speaking of the 4th Project Zero I heard that Grasshopper (who did Killer 7 and No More Heroes) are going to be making it.

I remember buying the first one when it came out. I played it, made me jump a bit, got bored and watched TV. Then I told my Aunt (who like, 7 or 8 years older than me) to have a go on it, because it was good. I waited for a couple of minutes, then when you see the first ghostie about 5 minutes into it, I heard the LOUDEST SCREAM I have ever heard in my life. Good game though.

I only have Project Zero 2. I still haven't got all the endings yet and its a little tougher than I originally thought.

Never played the sequel yet. Wouldn't mind owning a copy. Not that I would play it for long though. Some games just leave me wanting to curl up on my bed sucking my thumb. Project Zero did have a good twist on the horror games though, that being the "face your fears" thing and having to take a picture while your at it. Better than Resi's zombies jumping out at you. Which to be honest, I find is a very stale formula for games.

Ok! Can someone please confirm this? I just got word that Fatal Frame IV will not be coming t the USA but will come to Europe. Is this true? Here's what IGN reports:

Nintendo holds the publishing rights to 'Fatal Frame Wii,' which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America - consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America.

Oh man! Does this mean the USA will NEVER get it? If it is true...can't another publisher pick it up? Like say...idk...Atlus? Or no?:(

WTF if this is true then Nintendo are making a big mistake. While I live in the UK and am happy that we will get the game soon I feel bad for you guys over the pond who may not get it. If I remember correctly I think Disaster: Day Of Crisis never came out in the US but we in the UK got it. Why I have no idea.

The Fatal Frame story is true. For some reason, it's not coming out Stateside. Probably because American mothers will throw a fit if they see another adult game for the "Family Friendly" Wii kids toy console thing.

There is that, but I also heard Nintendo are unhappy with the game's bugs and controller issues.

Also I don't think it's actually been confirmed for Europe.

Well, it hasn't not been confirmed. Eurogamer did have a news article somewhere, but it seems to have gone walkies, which is curious.

Well Wikipedia says:

Official Nintendo Magazine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Nintendo_Magazine) announced that Fatal Frame IV was going to be released in Europe in February 2009.
Nintendo later released a statement saying that this was false, and that there are currently no plans for Fatal Frame IV to be released in Europe.[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_Frame_IV#cite_note-4)

So who knows.

If the big N dont want to bring it out over here then I'm looking at Rising Star Games since they seem to love picking up Japanese games for us UK gamers (No More Heroes, Lux-Pain, Little Kings Story to name a few).
