I went into that expecting it to be shows about video games, not shows based on video games. Does anyone else remember Gamesmaster? Gamer.tv? Game Pad? When Games Attack? Or whatever you had in your country?

We had some great gaming TV shows. I remember when GamesMaster was THE show, even with it's dodgy CGI and giant Sir Patrick Moore head :P Gamer.tv was probably the best of the more recent game shows (since technically Cybernet doesn't count as ITV showed it at 2am, though it was really good! - it ran for 15 years too). Worst for me was GamePad, the one presented by Violet Berlin. I really disliked that woman...

There was a running joke in our house that she had no legs. That's the only memorable thing about that show for me. Gamer.tv did a good job but it was definitely an evolution of GamePad.

As a teenager I had a strict policy of only watching gaming shows with Emily Booth in them.
Tic Tac, sir?

I don't know who that is, but I have googled her and I can now understand why your policy existed.
