You're basically paying for the tech. It's a 3D console let's not forget, and it's a tech which nobody apart from Nintendo seems to be using, so of course the price is going to be a little higher than we would expect from Mr. Casual.

That said...still want one XD

It wouldn't matter to me if it could clone kittens at only £50, I still can't afford it anyway :P

You still have the black version. xD

But alas! Love the new lineup, especially Resident Evil, both games are just looking awesome. And Super Street Fighter IV 3D is looking great. I still don't have a system-seller ga...

*remembers Megaman Legends 3 -Project- and LoZ: Ocarina 3D*

...I must get the Black 3DS.

They just posted on Kotaku a little thing about how Nintendo admitted it was supposed to come out this year but they've had to hold off the launch as they haven't made enough to meet demand so they need more time to produce them. It's gutting in the sense that that means there are boxed and ready 3ds's out there ready to be played in a warehouse somewhere but there holding them off till next year while they make more.

It's a good plan though, I remember the launch of Ocarina of Time and how little was available to meet the demand, especially with Christmas round the corner. I was lucky to get mine in time for Christmas day ^_^

Don't wanna make the little darlings cry when they miss out on their 3DS. Ruin their Christmas with Kinect instead :P
