Which console shall I retire?

Post by Killer French Bread »

I'm painting my room bisque brown, and in the process am having a right good sort out. I want to trim the console selection down to an amount that can fit under the telly so I don't seem quite so crazy. ONE HAS TO GO.

The PS2 has the most games but I don't play on it much.

The Saturn doesn't have many games but it would be a bind to not be able to play Die Hard Arcade

The PS1 is needed as it's successor stopped playing black discs some time ago.

The Dreamcast is the big boss of my gaming collection and, with the exeption of a few gaps, I've had one since it's release.

The 360 stays, I only bought it last year.

Please help, I can't make this decision alone.

Well, going by the statements you made there, I'd be tempted to go with the PS2, to be honest. It would be that or the Saturn, as you say the PS1 is "needed", and I wouldn't get rid of the Dreamcast.

Alright, I've put your vote in as you gave it a miss.

So far the sony consoles are in the firing line then - good old RadioSega sticking up for its own kind.

If your station 2 doesn't play black discs anymore i'd get rid of that. It's not like your burning it or anything. If you get a ps2 urge just dig it out the cupboard.

The Saturn; if it's just the one game you'd really have to loose then it's less sacrifice than your large PS2 collection or your PS1 and DC collections, isn't it?

This this this.

The PS2 has a massive catalogue of awesomeness if you give it half the chance, the PS1's blank disc trick saves money, the DC is evidently your fave and the 360 isn't going.

So Saturn away!

^If im honest I actually do this pretty much. I love my saturn but I don't actually play it too much lately so I keep it in a stackable plastic storage box in my cupboard all hooked up so whenever I fancy a go I just whip the console out, plug it in and go.
