Laptop Processor Upgrade

Post by Kaito-kun »

Any modders in the house? I'm looking to upgrade my laptop's processor; any suggestions? I'm currently running a Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500 (2.3GHz) I'm looking for something 3GHz at the lowest, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should look for? I'm too good when it comes to parts. Thanks.

Do intel even do 3.0 ghz mobile processors in the T series?

i'd reccomend using a T series processor as i tried using an E series in my laptop & it would just not boot

and the biggest T series is the 2.3 that you have

you could see if the E series is compatiable with your laptop but im 99% sure the e series is a desktop processor, thus being a 65nm and not a 45 like most laptops

Poo; I'll have to wait a little longer for Intel to get their bums in gear in that case.

I do love their telly ads though.

you'll be waiting a long time then

afaik they've stopped with the Dual core/core2duo and are on the quad cores/I3/5/7

could always try a P4/Celeron 3.2ghz single core (i think they do those for laptops) my dual core 1.63ghz is only 2.2ghz effective due to stupid computer not fully utilizing the 2nd core

or go buy an alienware or that super duper hi spec'd but cheap asus
