The Dark Knight Rises

Post by richarddavies »

I loved the first two Christopher Nolan Batman films and im pretty giddy about the third so I thought i'd share the Batman love. Anyone looking forward to the third?

It's been confirmed today that Tom Hardy is going to play Bane and Anne Hathaway is Catwwoman. The thought of Anne Hathaway in a skintight pvc suit makes me realise why the films called The Dark Knight rises anyway. Not sure about Bane though. I hope Mr Nolan put's a new spin on him. Tom Hardy's awesome though so im instantly more excited about the film solely because he's in it.

Thought I knew something in a topic about comics then for a second. But I don't think this Tom Hardy wrote The Mayor of Casterbridge.

I look forward for this movie. It is going to be the last that Nolan will work on (he always said he wanted a trilogy) and probably is going to be a nice movie.

I am just worried with the villains. There are too many.

What, no Penguin? :P

I love the last two films, even went to the cinema to see the Dark Knight, and we only go to the cinema for super special films.. Or crap sci-fi ones XD

Certainly looking forward to seeing where this goes.

He's probably not dark or edgy enough to fit it with the current youth's ideas of Batman.

Bane is kind of really lame. Was hoping for some kind of awesome messed up Killer Croc.

Sounds like someone hasn't seen Batman Returns.

Yeah my first thought when I heard Bane was in it wtf to be honest. Nolan though really likes keepin his Batman films a bit more set in reality so I don't see Bane being much like the comic version. He might be the first character in these Batman films that's actually capable of fookin Batman up actually, he smashed his spine up in the comics.

Bane is just roid-rage the villain, just really really boring. After TDK I was hoping for Nolan to go back to villains that hadn't been in a movie yet.

Will Christian Bale still be playing the role of Batman?
