or be crazy like me and mod the existing shitty cable it comes with to output hd

Comet might have some in their liquidation thing. It's better to look in Audio/Visual places than game shops when browsing for HDMI cables.

But online would almost certainly be cheaper.

No where sells HDMI cables? I think you're overselling your town as a town, sure it's not a hamlet?

It does have a handful of shops. Though most of them are phone shops, clothes, Boots, a Wilko and charity shops.
No electrical shops, 1 GAME and a second hand console place.
They're also not very big either.

How much you end up paying?

I picked me a 1.8m one for £1.99, came home & saw one for £100.... What's so special?.... Its 3m, and made by "Monster" My god, what a stupid company, all their gear is massively overpriced.
