Cosplay Idea Thread!

Post by Shadid »

For those who go to anime/gaming/Comic Book conventions, you always see a cosplay. No exceptions.

And then you decide that you WANT to do one, that's where this thread comes in.

You can ask for suggestions on how to make your cosplay good, or just give suggestions for first timers. :P

To get this thread rolling, I did a (Spoilers due to being part of Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations)

last year. This year, I want to do something different. I wanna go for a Akuma cosplay this year. I know I need the dark blue gi, the Red eye contacts,
a hair due similar to his, and prayer beads (but the last one can be made at home).

How can I improve this to fit my own self?

Start doing some weight training? :P

Seriously, I think the only problem would be with the hair really. For the actual costume itself, you could pad it out to look a bit more muscular, but then you run the risk of creating crazy proportions!

I'll edit this bit when I find the pic (or a part of it.)

And I don't need to be muscular to be him! I... just need a Gi that fits my body. ._.

I'm going to PAX Prime next year as Karis from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. I can make her outfit, but her staff is what I'm stuck on.

I need something sturdy, but bendable, and that will keep its shape once bent. Any ideas?

I was trying to think of a couple of ideas for when I go to the MCM Expo in London with a few mates.

I don't actually think I'll go ahead and do one, but I was intrigued enough to look at the possibility of cosplaying L from Death Note. Only possible downers - I wear specs and I don't like the thought of contacts, and I'd also have to walk around London either barefoot or in socks...

Death Note Cosplay is lazy Cosplay.

Unless you're dressing as a Shinigami or Misa Misa.
