Done most of them, the main one to make me swear was modern Sonic's doubleganger race.

Well ain't this some sh*t...
The second time Generations has broken its release date has now been done in Germany. Know on the SSMB as Thigolf, this lucky person managed to obtain the 3DS copy 8 days before its release date there, along with his original purchase of Super Mario 3D Land >_<

Time to baten down the spoiler hatches!

Somehow I had a feeling that the 3DS version's street date would be broken just like the HD versions were.

I haven't followed a lot of news around Sonic Generations because I want to keep the game fresh when I get it. (I almost knew the tracks of Outrun 2 by heart before playing it :p Looked up to much info).

Anyway: what older games is SG based on? Is it Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and Sonic CD? Are even more?

yea its sonic 1 2 3and knuckles, adventure 1 and 2 heroes 06 unleashed and colours. Ok my copy of the game is gone, 2 weeks ago i played it for the first time and its gone. To be honest the first 2 thirds of the game are awesome, then ya drift into the modern era and it shows how the mighty have fallen, dont get me wrong, no regrets getting it, its just if ur not a perfectionist, its going to be a short game
