PSP Remastered

Post by Rayne »

Sony have announced they plan to remaster blockbuster PSP titles for PS3. These will/can include HD graphics, improved control schemes, 3D support & more.

The first title to get this will be Monster Hunter somethingsorother in Japan. No word on what else might be coming or even if they'll be released in other territories.

Fingers crossed they are, I love the PSP. The chance of playing some of it's best games with better graphics & dual analogue would be great

Yeah I read about this. Great idea. There's full save support aswell so you can play on the PS3 at home and then if you go out just carry on the game on the psp. The psp get's dumped on alot but there's shitloads of great games on it.

Here's a trailer

I'll need to see more on this. Not sure what to think about it right now.

There were rumours a week or two back that Sony were planning a game called God of War Portable Collection, so no doubt that'll be one of the games planned for release under this label as well. Can't imagine Peace Walker won't see a release either.

Not too sure what other games they'll include though, to be honest.

I can see it not happening.

Sony + Konami = Never giving you what you want.

Hope for Birth by Sleep aswell.

Well, I was planning to get a PSP someday, but not anymore. GOW and MGS were my main reason for getting one, and I'm sure that at least GOW will get a PS3 Version
Go ahead, make my day.

Reckon this could be the testing ground for next gen?

We know that Nintendo's Project Cafe is going to have a controller with a touch screen and rumoured game streaming. Perhaps they're planning your controller functions as a portable gaming device? Fusing both together?

If so, maybe Sony are using this as a gauge to see how might be interested.

Really all they need are dual analogue controls and most games will work. Trophy support would be awesome too...

I could see these coupling with the NGP which would fix the one thing these remasters would break.
