It definitely sold on name alone, though the trailer was cut well enough to make it look like an acceptable game. I imagine it'll end up doing well in the US as well.

That's a bit of a negative reflection on people isn't it? I'm sure most people who bought it day one had heard the bad reviews and thought it still looked good anyway. You can make your own mind up remember.

I'm seriously tempted to buy it, multiplayer looks like a laugh and those walking blind aliens look really funny. The negativity seems well overblown, like it's just become fashionable to hate on it when it isn't bad game in reality. I'm sure plenty of worse games have got to number one anyway.
Tic Tac, sir?

Yea I imagine a lot of people who liked the trailer before Prometheus were super stocked about IGNs review. Or not as video game reviews matter to a small minority.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming out on Vita in Japan at the end of the month.

EDIT:
Totally forgot to provide a link to one of the many sites that have this as news.

So, it is March 28th and...

That site now has a football/soccer ball image in the middle where the date was, and clicking on it takes you here...

It's a game where you manage a football team, by the looks of thing. But more Japan-oriented (some odd bits about J-League, including logo at bottom of page)

Aka another Let's Make A Soccer Team! title. Kinda surprising it was something like this and not something entirely different.

Not that surprising really, I mean, it's like every countdown reveal: something nobody cares about.

It was something SoJ did, and only for Sony consoles. I doubt much of the west cared, if not outright about this announcement.
