I WAS gonna preorder it from Gamestop but they suddenly went all "Oh we're gonna close ALL stores in Portugal, so sod off!". :I
Least they did it before you preordered! Don't even want to cancel it now because they've already charged me, so even if I do I doubt my money will get refunded in time.

I just remembered. Viruta Fighter 5 Final Showdown is coming out on PSN and XBLA later this month. Has anyone played this? How do the fighting mechanics hold up compared to other fighters?

If it's anything like other Virtua Fighters then it's one of the better 3D fighters.

I can't wait to play Final Showdown. Glad it's a download title too, hopefully the sales are good so it has a decent online community but I don't hold out much hope as all the Street Fighter 4 bandwagoners don't seem to appreciate this legend of the genre much.

A new Virtua Fighter? Oh cool, never played any of the newer ones.

Only ever played the second game on a compilation, but I enjoyed it.

I reckon I'll give this new one a go one day.

I really miss playing Virtua Fighter, played since 2 and enjoyed the hell out of 3: Team Battle, and 4 was oddly entertaining.

Its too bad I missed 5, but now I'm kinda thankful I did, or else it'd be like Street Fighter, aka, buy the earlier version to know an updated version would be released afterwards. >.<

EDIT: See what I mean? This is why I like to train hard in SF and MvC and fighters alike.
I live here now!

If by that you mean you played Vf2 on the mega drive compilation, then you really haven't played it.

Compilations are the only way I can play the old Sega games.

Unlike everyone else here, I don't own any Sega consoles.
