Dimps can make good platformers. Sonic advance is a great example for instance

I don't mind that, actually. Whilst the console versions had their own spin on the levels, there were large parts of the originals that shone through in each case, so it's nothing that I found particularly offensive.

I don't know why sega let classic sonic have the homing attack. Its silly in my opinion. Classic sonic on the console version never had it so why on the 3DS?

He does have it on the console version. Only difference being it's an unlockable ability that you can choose to equip or not.

I believe you need to collect all the Red Rings in either Classic or Modern Planet Wisp. It's certainly one of the last unlockable skills you get, if not the last one.

Not really a bad thing considering how the console version turned out, and I trust Dimps to make a stage entertaining even less than I do Sonic Team.

As I said before. Dimps can make good platformers. Sonic Advance 1 felt like an old sonic game
