Playlist Update Notice for Favourites Users

Post by Dr Shaneman »

For those of you that have added songs to your Favourites list, I have replaced some albums with higher quality versions which might make some in your list non-working as of today.

The list of replaced games are:

Sonic CD (which is the biggest change)
Sonic Rush Adventure
Shadow the Hedgehog
Alien Soldier
Sonic Colors
Sonic Generations
Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Knuckles Chaotix
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic Riders
Sonic Free Riders
Daytona USA (All)
Sega Rally Championship
Sonic 06
Sonic and the Black Knight
Burning Rangers
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Puyo Puyo
Sonic 3D
Sonic Spinball
Ristar
Sonic 2 Beta
Ecco the Dolphin [Mega Drive]
Puyo Puyo Tsuu
MJ's Moonwalker
Comix Zone
Comix Zone Beta
Gunstar Heroes
Vectorman 1 & 2
Sonic Advance 1-3
Sonic Pinball Party
Sonic Battle
Shadow Dancer
ToeJam & Earl
The Ooze

I have fixed a lot of tag errors and made some others look more "professional" for the list.
These won't make the songs invalid in your Favourites but they'll just look different to what you're used to.
There's too many list but they're only minor changes so you won't be completely clueless.
Though beware the remixes and third party games will be undergoing a big tag change because we are looking at better ways to group them on the list.

I'm also adding a lot of songs that went missing during all the server changes.

EDIT: Finished all the replacements I wanted to do now.

I have secured this for the playlist as well, so expect these games to be effected.

Noticed the Sonic Generations tracks are all combined into one section (the console & 3DS versions). I know those are the propers version, but kinda liked it when it was separated into the main and 3DS sections. Again, that's just me.

EDIT: Also, what happened to those select songs from games like Generations (those "Synthesized mixes"), Rush (Event themes and the like). Those can be put back on the playlist too, right?

EDIT 2: Just checked the Rush Adventure list.......where's the stand-alone versions of the level songs? And the Event themes?

EDIT 3: And can the Unleashed songs include the game's international name as well? We know it's called World Adventure in Japan, but it is more known by Unleashed.

Everything was replaced by their original soundtracks, so missing tracks are missing tracks.

A suggestion, it would be good idea to include those missing tracks (RIPs) when needed, not every OST include every track. There's also the short tracks that don't make it because of the length, and RIPs could fix that. Sonic Rush said example.

Everything is sorted by how the OSTs are, to be honest I didn't think it would be much of an issue.
If all this is really such a bother, I'll get it all reverted back. Though finding old rips to Rush again will be quite difficult now.

Oh no, don't have to revert back to the old ones. I'm just pointing out observations imo, that's all.

Well everything I'm doing is for quality control, not me favouring anything.
Because the OSTs have been converted from FLAC format for you guys. Something I can't get from rips.
