The Olympic Games

Post by Twinny »

Mod Edit: Decided to edit this to include anything Olympic related, not just London 2012.

Yeah, figured I make this thread on the account the Games are just five days away, so that's where this thread is created. Discuss about what you'd expect from the event from start to finish (covers the next two weeks starting Friday!)

inb4 major raging over the Games and how boring it is.... :P

All I know is that I'm waiting for the Olympic "relay" if I'm correct.

If you'll allow me... *Opens the floodgates for disgruntled Brits* Waste of money, overzelous regulation, ridiculous pandering to cooperate sponsors, security's a shambles, etc, etc, etc.

I'm not talking about RadioSEGA's Olympic Relay event. The ACTUAL Games themselves.

And Kaito, expected.

If you're a fan of pseudo communist political posturing delivered via the medium of fireworks and dancing, then yeah you aren't likely to get a repeat of that compensation for cultural insecurity from 2008.

Actually you probably will, it will just be crapper. I know someone who's doing the plumbing for the olypmic stadium and he said he saw loads of old fashioned hospital beds and he thinks they might be using them for some NHS themed part of the opening ceremony thing. So that could be pretty bad.
