oh and i was thinking maybe the people who registered the domains were some sonic fans with some extra money then they thought they would get it since they made the other fans excited to be getting it

Straight up, why would they go back to the Adventure formula, when SEGA said they were looking into new gameplay styles of the series?

Huh. In typing that I realised that all of that had already happened with Sonic 4. Ah well! Let's all just move on from Sonic and play something else! There are other great SEGA franchises out there after all!
