Since this is a beta version, this is gonna be a relatively short review (no good or bads will be added, hence why I mentioned it being a beta version) about the public beta version of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, the "Super Smash Bros. ripoff" version of the PS3. Let's be honest here, if PSASBR was a SSB ripoff, then it'd had the same gameplay elements as SSB would have, but no. Just because PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is similar to Super Smash Bros., doesn't mean its a rip-off. There are a total of six characters in the game, which includes; PaRappa, Kratos, Radec, Sly Cooper, Sweet Tooth and Fat Princess. Although they are limited in numbers, they do come quite in handy in terms of attacks and abilities, and there are plentiful of stages, but not by much, but hey, it's a beta version.
The gameplay itself is generally good when you attack other players with attacks to rack up your power meter, although you aren't able to knock your opponents off the stage (and if they did, then you'd end up complaining it being a rip-off, and you don't want it to happen, no?), and that most super attacks are one-hit kill. Sure most of the attacks can't be avoided, but there are most other attacks that can be avoided as long as you're not caught in your crosshairs or being chased by an opponent, thus saving yourself from being caught by a one-hit kill attack. Also, it plays smoothly, being it around 60fps and having a nice 1080p to it, in terms of graphics.
Worth Playing?
For a limited time, yes, as this game is also played ont he PS Vita if you have it (which is also for free), especially if you want to dominate against other players, whether at home or on the go. Unless you think the game is bad, I say the game is good, especially during online play if you want to dominate other players with the PlayStation character of your choice. The estimated release dates for PSASBR is on November 20 in the US, November 23 in the UK, November 8 in Japan, November 21 in Europe and the 22nd in Australia, so try the beta version out before its too late!

It won't last for long, so finish what you're doing and try it out now =before the beta is closed.KC wrote:Not my call, but it's not a SEGA game, so...
About the game itself, I'm not that interested but I might check out the beta if I have the time.

True, true, but at least it's pretty decent for it resembling as SSB, especially with online play.
