You Snooze, You Lose
Story: Our story today is rather a sleepy one. Rayman and friends are snoozing away in the Snoring Tree. All their snoring however, disturbs an old granny in the Land of the Livid Dead. She then sends out an army of darktoons, who hurt the electoons in the world. And now it’s up to Rayman and friends to save the electoons and fairies that got kidnapped along the way.
Back To His Roots
Gameplay: The gameplay is back to the gameplay of the first Rayman game. The game is a side-scrolling platformer. The goal of each level is to save the electoons from cages at the end of the level. Some of them are scattered around secret passages in the areas. Rayman has a few moves to start off with such as a simple punch and kick. He can also hover with his hair(?), and run very fast. As he saves the fairies later on, he gets new abilities to run on walls and such.
The game is very fast paced and lots of fun. It’s also very challenging, but that’s what makes it fun. The game also multiplayer friendly so if you and a friend want to play, go right ahead! There are many collectible and secret levels to get treasures. There’s lot’s to do, though, it is easy to breeze through the game at ease.
Almost Like an Actual Cartoon
Graphics: The game’s look and art style is amazing! The is one beautiful looking game. The animations are amazing to look at and it all looks like a painting. It’s so amazing to look at, from the character designs to the facial expressions and just everything in general. This is one hella amazing looking platformer for the 7th generation.
Wacky Ukulele Fun
Music: The music is a joy to listen to. From the upbeat ukulele sounds and they all fit neatly to whatever level you’re in. From calming jazzy jams for underwater levels, to upbeat happiness in jungle levels. They all fit like a glove.
Music is composed by Christophe Héral and Billy Martin.
An Adventure for All
Overall: Rayman Origins is a really nice return to his original roots back from the days of the PlayStation 1. It’s face-paced and really fun to play. The game also looks amazing. It’s an absolute marvel to look at. I highly recommend this game!

I remember playing the first Rayman Raving Rabids game with my family. I wonder if the original Rayman games are anything like the Raving Rabids games :D
