Thanks everyone! I also have a new high score to post of 268196
Columns pause score 2.jpg
Now Keep in mind to achieve this and my previous score I did start at hard with the 50k score bonus (I figured this is fair since the scoring options are mentioned in the contest). But I have also utilized a lot of strategic pausing as the game got faster to help think out my next moves. If anyone finds this unfair I have also achieved the following score of 114751 without pausing at all with a starting point of 50k. I have no problem with this one being my official score if no one else was pausing and finds that strategy unfair.

Side Note: all scores were achieved on the default normal arcade difficulty in the options menu

I have 2 new Initial D Arcade Stage 8 Infinity time attack records that I will be posting now.

The first one is the Lake Akina track (Daytime/Clockwise) and the time I have on that one is 2'07'675 . This is a second faster than the Counter-clockwise run from my R35. (Keep in mind that I was using the Honda S2000 on this record and the other record I did on the weekend)

Y'know, I love to take part in this, but have just gotten into classic gaming thanks to outrun on 3ds and streets of rage 2 on pc...any chance you could consider those games?

Sounds like a plan! I would love to see what people could get for SoR2. Keep your eyes/ears pealed for that challenge soon!

= New Challenge =Golden Axe (Arcade) & (Mega Drive/Genesis)Highscore On Arcade Mode - Arcade version
Highscore on Arcade Mode - MegaDrive/Genesis version
It’s time for another challenge and in light of steam giving away Golden Axe for free recently there is no better time. Two different versions of the game; the Arcade and the Megarive/Genesis version. Pick one, or both and upload your best scores!Remember, don't horde your blue potions and don't run off the edge of the level/turtle. Good luck!

The competition ends: 2nd of March - 6:00pm UK (7:00pm CET / 1:00pm ET / 10:00am PT)

Question regarding the Golden Axe contest, how many credits are allowed for the arcade version?

I think in true arcade style, the Highscore run has to be on 1 Credit. Two lives should be enough right ;)

Been working on my arcade score. If you read the trivia section of this page it gives really good scoribg tips and explains how the games scoring system works http://punchpedia.com/games/arc/goldenaxe/goldenaxe.php

Here is my first arcade score with 1 Credit on Normal Difficulty

Score on Stages 1-2 = 14.0 Deaths = 0
Score on Stages 3-4 = 21.0 Deaths = 1
Score on Stages 5-6 = 22.0 Deaths = 1

Final Strength Score = 58.5 A+
