"The Angry Video Game Nerd" visits Sonic 2006. Does it hold up to his expectations? All of your nightmares revisited, but with a more fun twist.

I never played it and now I really don't want to. I thought the review was highly amusing. I've been a Sonic fan since 1991, BTW. I missed out on the amazing Sonic 3D games. Would I have started with Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)? Whoa, I'm glad I didn't. I got back into it officially in '08 and I was really into Sonic Unleashed. I doubt I'll play Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) in my lifetime.

The exact same thing that happened when they switched him to Tails happened to me. I walked off the edge and died since they face you in the WRONG DIRECTION! And then of course, I lost all of my lives and had to restart the whole game!
I really need to go back and beat the rest of that game sometime.

Can't get excited about Sonic Mania.

Sonic Forces makes me roll my eyes.

Sonic Team are still Sonic Team, I guess.

Sooo... been a while since we last talked about Sonic. So let's talk!

With Sonic Mania right around the corner, I'm really tempted to get the Collector's edition of the game cause it's looks pretty awesome! I've mostly stopped collecting Sonic merch nowadays but damn is that collector's edition juicy. As for the game itself, I don't think I was as excited as a lot of the other classic era fans but I can't deny that it looks so nostalgic with the return to 16 bit classic style graphics. And the cartoon trailer was bloody awesome!

Sadly it probably won't.

In that case I'd like another storybook game. Or anything as long as it's fully 3d, has an actual story, and doesn't use the boost.
