I've also just really liked the music from lots of games I've played. The earliest was probably something on the Master System. I've always loved putting games into sound test mode and just chilling to the music, I still do it now. I also downloaded a lot of MIDIs and then MP3s and if I couldn't find a track, I would try and record it myself, I still have a collection of truly terrible quality recordings! Some of them are even on tape! My first ever actual legit soundtrack CD was The Very Best of Ys, which just randomly turned up in a second hand games store.

The earliest memory of mine was hearing the Casino Night music at age 4 and fell in love with VGMs ever since!!

I used to make audio dramas using music from my Mega Drive games :| Alisia Dragoon, Sonic 2, Ranger X were the culprits!! :)

in the 90', I started to make covers from Megadrive games like Musha Aleste, Thunder Force III & IV, WonderBoy V, Zero Wing, The Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi III, After Burner and many others with my keyboard.
Years after, I try to redo somes of this pieces with guitars as close as possible of the original. "Metal Squad" from Thunder Force IV, is the first I redo (in 2012). Since, I try to make covers from my chilhood VGMs.
in 2018, I've been recruted by the Pixel Mixers community and participated on several tribute Albums (Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy IX, Ecco the Dolphin).
Between this time, I've never stop making VGM covers and I'll try to share my archives ;)

Quite simple really. I had the original PC release of SADX. Found the music files were in the games folder on my computer and copied them onto my 256MB MP3 player.

Played a video game (omg shocking) and listened to the soundtest of an indie unknown game that never got popular called Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
