Sage 2010

Post by Gonic »

I was looking around on youtube after seeing the Sonic 2 XL mod and I came across something unusual, Its called Sage (Sonic Amteur Game Expo) Where fans display there fan-made games of sonic the hedgehog. Check it out:
http://sagexpo.org/ (Also looks like sega helps fund it)

^ Yeah, that's been around for quite some time now. There's been a variety of interesting ones that have been created. A lot of them are unfinished I believe. I don't know if any of them are as good in quantity and quality as Sonic Megamix.

There is a huge community online for making Sonic fan games and hacks, loads of projects, including using 3D engines. I've always been interested in making my own, but I wouldn't know where to start!

Probably the most well known one is the Sonic 2 HD remake, which was looking promising, although I dunno if they are still working on it.

Still being worked on slowly. The project pisses off a lot of people because of its status of a community project yet the main development is closed. It took weeks to make a tree in Hill Top Zone!

But yeah, it's still around.

For some maybe. Not everyone finds it 'too easy'
