In that case, why release the game at all?

Eh, whatever is SEGA market strategy will be regarding this game won't be good anyway, based on your good judgement. Poor SEGA... :P

Because it sells well in Japan.

There is a reason why Japan have 3 more Yakuza games released than the rest of the world.

True that.

The west can't appreciate anything anymore.

Details!

http://andriasang.com/con13w/yakuza5_detailed/

5 cities, 5 characters. 3 returning playable characters (Kiryuu, Seajima (fuck), and Akiyama (yay)), one previously unplayble character (Haruka), and a brand new guy.

More developement time than previous game and massive improvements on the controls. Looks like this could really breath some extra life into the series.

Out around December in Japan, never in the rest of the world.

edit: Oh the 5 cities thing isn't new, it was announced back in November http://andriasang.com/comz1d/

That was pretty much my reaction when I read it as well. Can't wait to see how they do it, though she has been living with Kiryuu, maybe some of the badassness has rubbed off (I want to suplex people with Haruka).

4 is really good, then it gets really shit, then back to being good again.

Yeah, that does make me curious. And seeing her in a street brawl would be hilarious.

Yes, I'm aware of your views on Seajima.

Apparently it's using a completely new game engine aswell. Looking forward to this.

And I liked Saejima....Just not as much as pretty much everyone else in it.

The only good thing about Saejima is the way he captured his revelations.
