Shame Dead or Alive Dimensions is not a launch title I would pick that up in a heartbeat.
This is me. I'm probably going to get Ridge Racer 3D to start, and then Super Street Fighter IV 3D later. None of the Nintendo launch titles interest me, but hopefully it won't be too long before some of the other "launch window" titles, like Kid Icarus, turn up.

Isn't Ridge Racerrrrrrrrrrr a pretty terrible port that runs at an awful framerate?

Apparently not, no. From what I've read the framerate drops slightly in a few occasions, but not enough to be a lasting problem. It actually sounds like the first Ridge Racer on PSP, but with a couple of extra tracks. Got no problem with that at all, not at the right price anyway.

I don't really think it has something to do with the PSP RR.

The problem is that it runs at 30 FPS.
A racing game at 30 FPS.

Games like Ridge Racer or Dead or Alive honestly have no appeal to me, they are games i wouldn't even buy on a home console, let alone here.

Luckily i'm a Pilotwings fan, and maybe I'll also buy Resident Evil Mercenaries. :)

If it wasn't for the way they made you slog it out in dozens of boring races in slow cars before you got to drive anything good, the last few Ridge games would have been brilliant. This one looks the same.
Tic Tac, sir?

Funny you say that I read a review of this new Ridge racer earlier and they said exactly that about this one.

Apple hopes for a retail bitch slap against the 3DS.

Do you reckon it's revenge for Reggie Fils-Aime's sly digs at Apple and it's app store?

He makes comments now and then referring to the content as disposable, etc.

First linky I could find/be bothered to hunt for.
