I see Kotaku has decided to devote it's entire front page to covering earthquake. Stick to videogames, I'll read about natural disasters on a proper news website, ta.

^World events on a video game website? I smell network decay...(From TV Tropes if you don't know)

In other news, I'm typing this right now while in my Spanish class. My group are doing a project and it's just about time for lunch, yum!

Ah, network decay is the MTV thingy, I get it. Nah I think on this occasion it was just some game person did a twitter that their house was shaking or something, and the website decided that was their cue to become PROPA JOURNOS!!

And game journos look up even to film journos, so they must have been really excited at this opportunity.

It doesn't help that Kotaku suffers from multiple personality disorder, one of those personalities being a raving weeaboo.

As I know the Earthquake was a huge disaster, I had a few share of my own yesterday (the 10th).

As for that, I won't have a lappy in a long, long time. Same for the PS3 and my Arcade stick.

I'm back home from an awesome kickback with friends last night. It was intense. Got no homework this weekend, so that made last night even better.

Also heard back from some colleges and got my first rejection. Unfortunately, it was towards my #1 choice school, which also happens to be hella prestigious and crap. I've got the grades to get in, but I have the leadership skills they want. Did get into Merced, though, but they'll accept anyone.

Also, my best of wishes go out to Japan and anyone who has loved ones there.

EDIT: Found out I didn't get into Cal Poly. One more school to hear back from.

List of colleges I've applied to:

So sorry to hear that, Shadid. :(

I just got back from the video game concert Level UPPsala (Uppsala is the name of the city I live in. See what they did there?). A somewhat small concert (my guess is around 1000 seats) with a symphonic Orchestra along with Electric guitar, drums and base and even a lovely opera singer.

They started out with a few Zelda melodies followed by Chrono Trigger, Castlevania, Super Mario and Final Fantasy. Really nice experience overall, though "Scars of Time" failed to impress me, and maybe a little too much FF stuff in there. They finished strong with Still Alive from portal (sung by the Opera singer) and the Moon theme from Duck Tales as an encore.

Must say I am much pleased with this evening.

Today I visited an toyshop I haven't been to in years, and found out they still sold Dreamcast games there. Not that they're ever going to get them sold since their prices appeared to be unchanged since their release. Most titles went for 599 kr which is roughly 60 £. The cases were in terrible condition too. Same went for their PSX and GBA games.

You'd think a toyshop would either throw away or reduce the price for something they haven't been able to sell for 10 years...
