I'm not gonna post anything that lucky person has found out about the game, HOWEVER I can say this was a mistake on the part of Best Buy, not SEGA. According to her (and it's 100% true) this person was supposed to get her pre-order for Battlefield 3 (go figure) and she just happened to see the game on the Xbox 360 shelf and she asked the BB staff was the game was out on retail and they said yes.

So I guess the hype for it have has been killed off, then? :(
some joints in cali are selling it now as well

OH I'm so pissed of. Now that I can't get the collector's, my mom won't even let me get the limited edition or normal version.

Seems I won't be playing SG as soon as everyone else...

I didn't think you had a PS3 or 360 anyway.

My very personal problem with Sonic Gen is the release date.
I ordered it from the UK, so at least 1 week before it gets here.

At that point Zelda and Mario 3D will not be too far away.
I'd like to play all these games together but i simply can't.

Oh I've had a PS3 for a while now.
I am quite surprised you didn't know.

I already know all of the levels and bosses in the game but I'm still trying to avoid new videos and whatnot to save some of the surprise  I'm tempted though :)

There's 86 pages of sweet sweet spoilers in this thread so just be careful going through, kay? :)

(aaannndddd that includes the internetz :P )

EDIT: Now here's something I can report on! On the Japanese site for Sonic Generations, SEGA of Japan has revealed the Collection area of the site. (link via the Sonic Stadium).

Nice to see that spread across all available platforms (PS3, X360, PC, 3DS) ^^
