I reckon they'll wait and see how the NGP does. That's a fair bit thicker and bigger than the 3ds. If that sells they could probably get away with doing a 3DS XL.

Well Nintendo's goal for hardware revisions is seemingly always more portability. If they some how do manage to flatten it down to make it smaller then they will probably do the XL, but right now it's kinda redundant since the 3DS is chunky enough on its own.

Yeah, basically in an "Iwata Asks" interview Iwata said "hey, this time
as of today we are not studying a way to make the 3DS even more portable, right? back in the DS days, when the DS phat was out we were already planning the DS Lite!".
What I think is... a 3DSi or something will of course come out, but not until, say, 2013.
Considering a lot of interesting games are going to come out in 2012, i don't want to wait.
I've preordered the blue one, what about you guys?

Not gonna bother preordering it, if it sells out then oh no! Right now it's too much for too little. None of the launch window games interest me, one game that does interest me won't run on the 3DS (one of what'll no doubt eventually be many) I'd own and gotta suffer terrible Europe dates.
Edit: Actually make that two because Devil Survivor sure as fuck ain't coming out over here.

I'm the same as Rek, I came very close to pre-ordering the other day just because I love new technology. I can't remember the last time I missed a launch day release.
But I just looked at the release list...f*ck me it's sparse, I mean, aside from Hyperobsessivenerd Fighter IV there really isn't anything worth making a fuss over, is there?
Remembering back to my first DS which I bought on launch with Mario 64, there weren't any other good games for about 4 months. Having to make do with garbage like Pokemon Dash...
Screw that, anyone that buys one on launch must either be A - Nuts, B - Fanboy or C - Serious SF Nut.

Im definitely going to buy one at some point but I might give it a year. I've got enough to play on the consoles I have and by that point i am hoping the 3DS will have built up a half decent back catalogue by then.

I'll be getting one on launch day with Ridge Racer 3D as well as SF4, everything else does not appeal to me.
Shame Dead or Alive Dimensions is not a launch title I would pick that up in a heartbeat.

D - wants the new Pilotwings

As for Street Fighter 4 i'll play that on a HD console with an Arcade Stick thank you very much.
But it still sounds the second best game on day-one.
So, the console will be like €260 here, and a game €40 I think.
€300
