Huzzah! Rayne is back in employment! If it's any good would you mind arranging something for me? ^__^""

Congrats on the job Rayne! I sure wish I could find a part time one that wouldn't drive me crazy. Customer service is the worst
Today I slept. A lot. But I'm still tired :O

Today, I got my class schedule for my high school senior year. Amongst my seven periods, I've got AP Calculus, Physics, and Video Game Production. Gonna be a good last year.

Yeah. I would have taken it last year, but I didn't get in. After being a teacher's assistant for the teacher last year (for his 2D Digital Arts class), I learned that the class is focused around Blender and
Unity, a free game development tool.
EDIT 8/16/10: Found out we aren't using Unity this year. It's all Blender with the occasional Painter.

My third year at Uni focuses on advanced game design and game production, which involves a group game project to actually develop a game. Should be a fun year and the time table so far seems to be afternoon classes.
I still haven't decided on my dissertation yet though.

Video Game Design? From a UK perspective that's a really, really dodgy area to invest time in at the moment, I know a couple of pros that are struggling to get work (one artist and one programmer).
Had my first day on the job today, fantastic team of people! Varied races & nationalities, all smiles :D. It's hard work but assuming I can get to grips with the systems then it'll be great.

Oh I know Rayne. I've got a small amount of experience with the local industry and it's definitely an area I'm not interested in entering any more anyway, way too competitive for a start, but I might as well finish the final year of my degree and get something from it

Before I even start school, though, this year's Calculus class (which I'm a part of) was given a Calculus study packet to complete over the summer and due the first day of school (PDF of the packet can be found
here).
And today, after about a week of work (started it on about Monday

), I finally finished all the written parts (with a little help from Yahoo! Answers). I'm going to do graphs tomorrow 'cause I hate doing them.
EDIT 8/13/10: Finished the entire packet.
