A series spanning generations, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure follows the Joestar bloodline as they punch through the dangers of the world.
Heading off the series we're introduced to Jonathan Joestar, the son of an aristocrat whose life is suddenly turned upside down by the arrival of a mysterious new boy - Dio Brando. An instant rivalry is formed between the two as Dio's wide ambition in societal life dwarfs over Jonathan's.
An immensely popular series, JoJo is notorious for its liberal gore, high fashion and mentalistic characters.
No, but I'm slightly curious about it. No, but I'm somewhat curious about it. And no, but I remember a friend of mine mentioned it a few years ago.TheChaosBlue wrote:Anyone seen Chuunibyou, Girls & Panzer, and Abenobashi?
Girls und Panzer is one of the best animes to come out in a while.TheChaosBlue wrote:Anyone seen Chuunibyou, Girls & Panzer, and Abenobashi?
It's a very well made anime, and the two lead females are like, original waifus.Quills on Wheels wrote:So I'd let go of anime for a while since I was busy watching the Walking Dead but with that finished, I'm back and I tried watching the Evangelion movie(s) since the third one will be premiered in AVCon for the first time in South Australia but I stopped at the first 10 minutes of the first movie cause I realized that I don't understand crap from this and Sci-fi in general. Plus I understand that the movie is somewhat depressing so... being the whimp I am, I think I'll pass on Evangelion.
Still though, can someone actually explain to me WHY Evangelion is so... famous?
*Nods in agreement* Very stupid, but I love it because of how stupid it is.Reknoc wrote: It's a very well made anime, and the two lead females are like, original waifus.
edit: and its popularity in the west is probably aided by most people watching it when they were in their teens and mistaking it's psuedo-intellectual/Christianity to be deep when in fact it's stupid (like FFVII)
