I thought that was the best part of the 4Kids dub.

It was the best part of the 4kids dub, still awful though.

Yeah, the voice acting got pretty awful in the 4kids version...nightmares. And I can't believe how much content was cut out and edited.

That's what I've heard. Gotta check it. Yeah they're trying to keep it as close to the manga's run though, which is at Thriller Bark now.
Reknoc wrote:Just make sure you watch the Funimation dub and not the 4kids one.
Could've not said it better myself!

One reason why I don't like the majority of 4Kids' handling of anime. Do they really think the kids will like these opening themes?
Reknoc wrote:It was the best part of the 4kids dub, still awful though.
Yes, it WAS. Now I cringe about that 'theme' whenever I hear the Funimation one.

Just imagine if they gotten their hands on the movies. shudder...
And that is why 4Kids should NEVER aqquire a anime with that much of a fanbase because chances are, they WILL maim it in ways they know how. At least they did okay with Dionsaur King, and especially Yu-Gi-Oh! and their run of Pokemon.

Hey, at least before you didn't experience it like we did here in the States. 4Kids shoved it (as in their version) down our throats every Saturday morning and when it was on Toonami.
But hey, now you know! (G.I. Joe music plays)

Well I'm still not finished with teen titans but I've got one more season to go(about 10 episodes). I remember the days I used to watch One Piece. It was pretty awesome. Ofcourse I've never watched the English dub and I only watched it on RTL II which was German back than, and I must say, the German Voice Acting is pretty awesome.
I'll give the English one a try now. The last episodes I remember watching was when all were trying to save Robin from the marine if I'm not wrong and they all fell down this bridge and in every episode one of the gang had a flashback which was that part which made me bored.

Oh they did Yugioh too? That explain allot of things, Like how the entire story of the Battle City Arc was changed from the manga. Those guys storming Kaiba's office and pointing their fingers instead of carrying guns is a classic though xD

They did a surprisingly decent job with Pokemon and no one cares about Yu-Gi-Oh! or Dinosaur King enough to moan about them.
Honestly if you play the PS2 Grand Battle games some of the dubbing isn't even that bad, it's just all the other shit they did.

This is way ahead of where the English dub is... Like... way ahead. I skipped those episodes when I was trying to catch up on Funi's sub releases.

What? The english manga release is at Impel Down and Funimation, at the rate they're going, have no hopes of catching up. I doubt they'll even be at Water 7 by the end of this year.

Just today I remember another Manga I used to watch on the German channel when I was a child was Detective Conan or something. It was OK but nothing much. Is it finished yet or is it steel continuing?
