Lucky Star was horrible. Why did it get so popular?

Same reason as Haruhi and K-On!

I didn't get K-On at all. The moe parts of Haruhi annoyed me, but it made me laugh at points and had an interesting story, Lucky Star suffered the same issues but it made me laugh and when I decided to stop downloading anime I promised myself that I would buy the legitimate versions of anything that I downloaded previously if/when they're released. So I've backed myself into a corner really.

New manga from the Fullmetal Alchemist author starts in April, pretty excited and it's going to be weekly instead of monthly.

Nah, volume 24 only just came out. I think there's another one or two to go.

I'd say two going by the description on Viz's site, which has an awful design now.
Speaking of Viz being terrible... Started reading through JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and it's pretty good. Love the art, though I'm convinced the author is not actually a human but some kind of alien who has had what a human looks like described to him but not how they move, some of the poses the characters make are just crazy.
The thing is split into parts showing the adventures of a different generation of the first parts main character Jonathan Joestar. Currently on part 2 which follows his Grandson Joseph Joestar. Part 4 is the more famous one.
It also has a lot of very subtle musical references with characters named Wham and ACDC to name a few.
Edit: Correction, guess it's part 3 which is the more famous one since it seems to be the one that introduces Stands.

Episode 69 of Naruto English dubbed was released a few days ago. It still baffles me when I think about it. It takes about 2 weeks for a new Japanese Naruto shippuden episode to get released and it takes about a month for a new dubbed episode to get released. I'm pretty sure that making a new Japanese episode has far more work to do since you have to do the animation, Japanese voice acting, English subtitles and others. But For a dubbing, you only have to do the voice acting. So why does it take so much for a new dubbed episode to appear? Just wondering.

It takes longer because they dub it in batches, there aren't many american VAs so they probably have to work around that, they also have to translate it.
The Japanese side don't even care about english subtitles, they don't do that themselves. There are also different teams slaving away at an episode each week.
