Well I watched the first hour or so of the opening ceremony. It was beautiful. Fantastic british style celebration. All the miserable old cunts in the pub I was at were was banging on about how shit it was though. Dunno what they expected tbh, maybe their idea of britain would be best celebrated by bez from the happy mondays throwing mescaline into the crowd.

I watched the majority, I took a break during the parade, heh.

I found the first part to be fantastic, really, all the scenery created a nice atmosphere. Everything that came afterwards was nice, I enjoyed every segment. It was odd the position of the cauldron. Unexpected was Mr. Bean, simply awesome! That short made my day.

I can see that the minds behind the Opening Ceremony went far beyond what I thought could be done. It was amazing. The historical importance of that country mixed with the production values were are-inspiring. 2008's has nothing on this years.

And having Bond and the Queen enter the stadium that way was so lol.

The London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonies were the best so far. From the beginning with the history of Great Britain and the forging of the Olympic Rings, to the part with the kids and various childhood things (and glowing beds, mind you). Then there was that part with this house, that was awesome. And how the Olympic Torch was lit....TRULY MAGNIFICENT.

God so much stuff happened in that ceremony. It definitely kicked 2008's ceremony right in the ass in terms of production, motive, and lack of media backlash. London, you really showed what you're made of!

I don't think the next host of the Games can top this one! XD
