Same can be said about pokemon in all fairness. It normally ends with team rocket blast of at the speed of light

However i never thought of digimon having a weak story. Seasons 3 was fantastic and very dark (even for a kids show). Buts that's just my opinion

Pokemon anime isn't better or worse than it used to be, the series has been pretty much exactly the same as it has always been.
Gonic wrote:I much prefer the games of digimon if i'm honest. Dusk and Dawn were quite good (even if it didnt have Radiermon in it) and im a bit annoyed we dindt get the digimon game that was partly made by Shin Tensi Megami.
? Atlus R&D1 hasn't been involved in any Digimon game.

No way.
With the simple fact that Pokemon is that monotone and repetitive, with a journey that who knows when it ends, oh, and Ash, makes Digimon better in my book. After that, quality is debatable (which they're good overall, don't expect the most amazing in the world =P). Today, I'd pick Digimon over Pokemon any day.

That looks to me the nostalgic side. I feel the same with the first and second season because I grew up with that.
Anyone born after that wouldn't tell a difference. Perhaps the little development Ash had as a newbie trainer. There isn't much difference of what it is today.

Popularity-wise it kinda hasn't. Pokemon was a big deal in the late 90s to early 00s. Now, it lacks just that, imo.

I forgot about this. I never liked the Digimon designs.

Yet it's still on TV, so it must still be reasonably popular.

The merchandise. The games. Hell even the manga. It's a cash cow franchise on that part. Maybe that's it's still going strong.

It's still going on because it's popular if it wasn't it'd be canned.

Yea I had a feeling you meant that. Only reason I'm sad it didn't get an english release is because it had
Lili in it.
