May be right, but up to this point no one I don't think gave a crap about that.

Does it feel like the new games (and Gen 6 in general) felt rushed? Only 2 years for the English release of Gen 5 and 3 years for Japan. I understand Nintendo wanted a new Pokemon main series title for the 3DS but they couldn't even give Black & White 2 even a year to settle.

Being honest, I think Black & White Ver.2 were meant as nothing more as stop-gaps, the same as Red/Blue got Yellow, Gold/Silver got Emerald, etc etc.

If they were going to be proper sequels, then they would've been on 3DS from the start. The fact that Nintendo dropped them onto a console they themselves had stopped supporting long beforehand, meant that a "proper" sequel was around the corner.

It's the only thing that's going to get me back into the series, they keep shoving too many new pokemon into it that when someone like me that wants to fill the pokedex up in everyone, can't most of the time because there's too many and most of the pokemon require you to have the other games as well.

I'm going to wait for more information and ideally the opportunity to play the game before making a judgement about the game that we have only been aware of for 12 hours.

Well if I was being honest, and just trying to elaborate here, if B2W2 are considered 'stop-gaps', why would Yellow count? If anything, wasn't Yellow version marketed as a "special edition" and not a remake? Since, well, English Red and Blue were based after the Japanese remake of Red and Green, ala Blue?

Plus, what does Emerald version has anything to with Gold and Silver exactly?

I still consider B2W2 to be proper sequels to the original BW; not being on new consoles notwithstanding. Perhaps I'm not understanding that part of your post, but the DS may have been relevant for that long to this point due to the Pokemon games.

And I was waiting for a "I'm going to wait for more info til I make my judgment" post, thanks to Kaito-Kun. But of course. :P

Wasn't Emerald the "special" edition to Gold and Silver? Each set of two Pokémon games have had a third follow them that's pretty much thrown the two together. Red/Blue had Yellow (which was based more on the anime, I'll admit), fairly sure Gold/Silver had Emerald. Diamond/Pearl had Sapphire, and then Black/White had Black/White 2.

X and Y will quite likely have one as well, and I'll be damned if Nintendo don't call it Z.

It was |Red/Blue/Yellow| |Gold/Silver/Crystal| |Ruby/Shpphire/Emerald| |Diamond/Pearl/Platinum|.

As Flame pointed out, Emerald was the "special" edition to Ruby and Sapphire...you meant Crystal. lol
