I rather use Hibernate mode. I also use Sleep mode.
Wait, Kaito-Kun is like the only active mod I see around here nearly every day...we can't last that long oh wait we have other mods and admins right...
Enjoy your vacation~

My laptops always running off mains, battery just sits on my desk doing nothing, also worth mentioning that when the whole house is "on idle" (IE of a night) the thing British Gas gave us to read the meter only shows up as using 3 - 4p worth of electric an hour, & that includes keeping a de-humidifier running as well the combi boiler (has timer & display for temp/fault finding so using some juice) as well as several TVs & other electrical appliances on standby.
In other news after getting over this poisoning thanks to all the vomiting i've triggered my sciatica again & i'm suffering with back pain

, wouldn't be so bad but it hits me whenever i move, sneeze or cough -.-

Wow Matty, I really feel your position and well-being. That sounds horrible to endure over the several days.

Cool, have fun.
I had a power cut in the night and all my frozen food is ruined.

Did everyone forget I have mod powers too? O.o
I do most of the double post merges around here.
What's the difference between sleep and hibernate then? Since I've never used either I haven't a clue.
Awww wow, have a blast Kaito.

hibernate saves the current ram on the hdd and powers off the system completely, so when you power it on it takes that saved file and loads it to the ram again, while sleep mode keeps the pc turned on and all the data stays in the ram, just it uses less power by turning off useless things like hdds and other peripherals.
The only things which are powered on, are the ram the cpu and mouse and keyboard (to sense when you want to wake the pc up) and other minor things I can't remember now.
So to sum up, hibernate shuts the pc off completely without losing your current state while sleep does the same but doesn't shut the pc completely off.

I did say 'other mods and admins'; you're under that umbrella. Wonder if my brother has the same power. In fact.....where's his position under his name go?
