Well to be fair, he owns Death Note and Afro Samurai and isn't interested in Cowboy Bebop. I guess being good isn't his cup of tea.

Fair point.
Speaking of Death Note, I can't help but think of this clip whenever the anime is mentioned...

Get's me every time, what's better is that I imagine Amuro doing it since they have the same voice actor.

That's not a nice thing to say
Me being me, I'm bound to go and try one of them eventually...My tastes aren't the same as everybody else's though.

I'm afraid I agree with Gavvie more, then again i'm at the base stages of anime. The thing I love about anime is the supernatural, the comedy and the ability to be creative without making it seem they're making it up as they go along. Death Note did that to me like some others did. But I watched the first half of Cowboy Bebop, it looks good, not as good as Death Note, also I can't watch the rest anyway because the videos are not on youtube.
Edit: The Death Note scene is awesome though if you watch the whole scene.

I can tolerate One piece but that's about it. It's just the run of the mill manga story about a bit of a spazzy lead that learns how powerful he really is through the magic and wonder of his friends that they have about 800 billion of. Saying that though I do think Zorro's pretty sweet.

Yea One Piece pretty much takes the typical shonen stuff and refines it into something decent and less dumb. The good guys don't always win and they don't end up with random power ups out their ass that only get used in one battle and is forgotten... well except that one fight in thriller bark... It's just a fun read and well made with an interesting art style.
Anyway Death Note, yea trash, cat and mouse stuff was interesting even though it spent way to much time seeming stupidly meta. Terrible female characters as well.

All this talk of the same 2-3 shows.
Where's the variety?
*breaks combo*
Started reading Da Capo today.
Up to chapter 4. Looks like it has a mix of characters. (clumsy, tsundere, little clingy sister)

Darn it Doctor! You're supposed to let me introduce you first!
