Sonic 4 World Map

I guess when you buy the rest of the episodes the map expands to the right.

RubyEclipse told in the Sonic 4 Update 1.5 that a World Map would be in Sonic 4, which you can read
right here.
And as for the world map, my gosh, it looks gorgeous. SEGA has really listened to us. Now to see if this is good...

Yeah i remember reading that but what came to mind when i read it was a map like in Sonic Rush or Sonic Advance. I didn't expect it to be this good looking.

Just a note for you iDevice owners - Sonic 4 Episode 1 is now on the App Store for £5.99 (therefore, I assume US$9.99 and €7.99).
Played through Splash Hill Zone. Surprisingly playable given the control scheme. Liking it so far!
I'd love to play some more, but it is 1.30am and I have to go to work. Roll on lunchtime and Casino Street!

Playing sonic 4. It's enjoyable as residentSD said. But the controls for the special stages suck

Yeah, just like ResidentSD, I downloaded the game at about 1 am yesterday.
Played through Splash Hill act 1 and the first Special Stage. Pretty solid, in my opinion, even if the "tilt the ipod to rotate screen" control scheme sucked.
After a day of playing (only the last 2 acts of Mad Gear to go, cause I'm kinda sick...), I can say it's pretty good. The maps of the stages are well designed and aside from the Boss music, the sound is cool.
I'm more used to the controls by now (even the ones in the Special Stage), but Lost Labyrinth Act 2 (where you need to tilt the screen to control the mine cart) is kinda lame.
What about you guys? Any different opinions?
I'll be coming here later (probably tomorrow) after I complete the game to tell my final opinion about it.

Now imagine if THAT version of LLZ Act 2 was on the console versions... *shrugs*
Seems like everyone's enjoying the iDevice version of it! Good to hear, although I did notice it was the version SEGA was planning to release on the consoles. I do think the delay did make the wait worth it. :3
And don't forget, KC...that Boss theme was supposed to be the boss theme for Sonic 3D, now imagine that on the boss of Panic Puppet... o.o
