VB3 will migrate to VB4 no problems assuming its the base forum
The only times issues will arise is when any plugins/scripts clash but this looks to be a pretty vanilla forum aside from the song ticker but thats most likely down to the webpage itself

And as stated before

Wiping the forums dealt a large blow to the site, its alright saying its coming back bigger & better but with no past to go on people wont bother

Ah...now this is what I'm thinking of a total 'rebirth' of this site. Cleam slate...

I'm with Matty on this one. I don't think a forum wipe is a good plan.

I would like to know the reasoning behind it, as I don't necessarily see the benefits either.

The previous forum wipe was understandable as I bealive SegaMark said there was an error with the forums or something?

But yeah, this upcoming forum wipe seems unessacary. A dead forum community will not bring new members. I've seen this happen on another forum.

This is something I'm now considering. The idea is to transfer over the current, active threads, and archive the older threads, just to de-clutter the place a bit.

How is it cluttered?

Cluttered's probably not the right word, but it'd clean the forums up.

I'd ask you guys for your opinions, but you'd all say "keep it as it is", with loads of dead threads, despite us switching over onto a new forum. Can't see why we can't have a little reboot whilst we're at it.
