I love Deadman Wonderland..and Toonami 8D I have to say I'm not really liking Casshern Sins though. It literally bored me to sleep last time I watched it. Ghost In The Shell and Cowboy Bebop are awesome too. I hope Toonami does well enough that they can extend the time in which it airs so maybe they can put some more series on there. Wouldn't mind them putting one of the many Gundams on there. Or Outlaw Star since I didn't get to really enjoy it when I was younger.

Hmm, yeah I reckon Gurren Lagann would also be a good fit for Toonami. Perhaps Baccano! as well considering it's late night slot and target audience.

Too bad Elfen Lied is too graphic for even the late night audience. That's a damn good show.

Another idea would be to show movies once in a while. I don't remember where I saw it but when I first saw Tekken: The Motion Picture it was on TV. Granted it has not aged well at all and it's most definitely overly cheesy it was still cool to see back then.

I dunno, it aired in the UK in an evening timeslot (around 10pm-ish) back when we had that mediocre Anime Central channel. I didn't watch the series myself though.

I hope they do manage to get Panty and Stocking on toonami, it's a perfect fit for Adult Swim.

Which one's that? The live action film? Or was there another one before that? I doubt you're referring to Tekken: Blood Vengeance as it's relatively recent.

The old anime movie from the 90s. Came out in like 98 or something I think. Screenshot below:

Evidentially giant eyebrows were in Vogue during 1998.

But yeah, I'd argue that anime films are more suited to TV in the west than anime series. Having a fantasy season? Slip in a Ghibli film. Sci-fi film season? How about Akira? Etc. Etc. There's less risk for the broadcaster - giving those weird Japanese cartoons only 2 hours rather than the 6 and a half total needed for a 13 episode series - and anime fans get to be happy that there's anime on TV.

Ya know? I actually had a look at Elfen Lied once. I watched the first episode but after that, I felt like spewing up.

I got out of that and promised myself that I would never even THINK of Elfen Lied again.

...yet... I don't know why... but something attracts me to it. I'm sure it's defenetaly not the naked chick and I'm REALLY Sure it's not the blood and gore of it but for some reason, it seems attractive... I might end up having to watch it.
