To be honest, SEGA did a huge scam with giving the game the "Limited Edition" Mark.
Limited my Ass. Everyone gets Metal Sonic and Outrun bay so that's no fun... >_>
Ah well, I've got both PS3 and Computer so eh...

i'd imagine not actually being able to play outrun bay because no one in matchmaking owns it would be even less fun.

I am kinda annoyed with all the DLC that the PC version's got. I get why it has, but these are characters that SEGA own, so why they can't eventually appear on other formats is just baffling.
Hey, maybe the Vita version'll get Football Manager now that FM Classic 2014 has been announced for Vita?

clearly sega japan don't give a shit about the game, so they won't give SEGA europe the support they'd need to a) get permission to use their characters and b) help cover the costs of dlc on consoles.
SEGA are like 2 separate companies that hate each other.

But hey! At least we're getting a some Miku game, that probably needed like 5 words translated in it.

If a friend of mine with zero Japanese skill could platinum the Vita import version then anyone could. WHERE'S MY SODDING YAKUZA 5?!
...And to a lesser extend Rekky's Phansty of Stars On The Line.

yea but they're both clearly too much hard work for a game that doesn't star Sonic

I agree with the "Limited Edition" label ringing false. In fact, isn't it illegal? :D Saying something is limited when it isn't (from what I can tell)? Not that I care that much, I was happy to get a full game for about 20 squid brand new on day one.
I'd be surprised if the lack of classic SEGA character DLC and Yakuza 5 is a Japan head office and international subsidiary problem (Nintendo says hi!

). Anecdotally, living in Japan, I'd say Yakuza (or Ryu ga Gotoku as it's known here) is way more popular than Sonic is. As an ALT who goes to first and middle schools all the time, you can see what's popular by talking to kids and seeing what licensed pencil cases and other crap they use. I very rarely see a Sonic anything. And when I tell kids Sonic is my favourite game character, they're usually like, "Oh yeah, that blue thingy, right?" Whereas I see Mario, Pokemon and Inazuma Eleven, Kobito Zukan stuff up the wazoo. Was Sonic Transformed even released in Japan? I never saw it on sale here...
So if Sonic is more popular in the West, wouldn't it make more sense to let SEGA Europe/US do their Sonic or classic character thang freely? And I would have thought they have free rein anyway, seeing as they're part of the same group.
But Yakuza... has that ever sold many copies in the West? I've always had the impression they never did very well outside of Japan. But obviously they do well here, or they wouldn't keep cranking them out or even having live action movies made. And HatsuMiku seems like a risky proposition in the West. SEGA isn't anywhere as big as they'd like to be (remember they said they were going to become the no.1 publisher in the world when they gave up on making hardware?), so it's no surprise they'd be cagey over bringing over another Yakuza or Miku. I kinda want to play the Yakuza games (I even own a couple :D ) for the combat and Japanese urban sim elements, but they're hard to take seriously because they look kinda low rent, actual yakuza IRL have always looked like old-fashioned idiots, and the cabaret girl dating sim parts with bouncing boob close ups as they play tennis with you... ugh.
