Picked up the Melancholy Of Yuki Nagato off Amazon thursday, having a quick nosey through it, i like the art style, seem's to be a mix between the 2 Haurhi manga's (Haruhi & Haruhi-Chan)
Spoiler for those who haven't seen or read the Disappearance
Click to reveal
Based as a sort of non-cannon arc as to what happens if Kyon hadn't of gone back to the real world, and had stayed in the one Nagato had created

I feel old now. I remember when Gintama and Reborn were the hip new(-ish) things.

Why're we fucking Conan? Never really looked into it myself.

I remember reading the first chapter of that a few years ago. I remember thinking that it wasn't absolutely terrible.
Oh? Are we posting our rarely updated, inaccurate MAL lists? Here's mine:

I remember
nothing from the Disappearance film. Saw it in the cinema but I couldn't focus as I was desperate for the loo during 75% of the film and I didn't want to bother everyone else around me or miss any of it.

For a lot of these series I was in their target demographic when they started. There was also JoJo, which is as old as me, but that's moved to Jump Ultra or whatever their monthly seinin mag is.

Because it's over 800 chapters long. It's actually good from what little I watched but I don't feel the premise works for a long ass series.

Well it must be doing something right since it's the third oldest series in Shounen Sunday. Plus people who I trust like it.
I've told myself I'm definitely updating mine. Sick of taking a break from series then, when I want to start them back up again, totally forget where I was. Anything that's on their as only 1 chapter read means that either there hasn't been a new chapter for me to read since making the list (Vinland Saga, Shingeki no Kyojin, Jojolion), or I haven't bothered to read something recently (this is the case for Berserk and Hellsing). There are also Pluto and Monster which I'm only putting the volumes for since I'm buying them.
of course i also said this about the anime list as well but that didnt turn out well

This season is off to a great start with series like My Little Monster and From the New World. But more importantly is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Watched Episode 1 today and all I can say was; it was perfect. They captured JoJo so well. It's obvious the studio doesn't have a massive budget, but they obviously know and/or care a lot about the source material. Yes there are some really well animated fights during but also a lot of use of still frames, but they made it work to their advantage. They also covered a lot of material in the first episode but still managed to convey what was needed, they just cut the fluff. Really looking forward to watching the rest of this each week now.
Just need Magi to prove itself tomorrow.

I managed to luck into retro anime hour a couple of times while I was away: Tiger Mask, Gatchaman and Touch. Nice stuff.
Also, a slight lack of sleep meant that I caught the first episode of BTOOOM!. It was watchable.

JoJo is still king of this season. Magi felt butchered with their rush to get to the Balbadd arc, and Psycho-Pass is pretty sweet but it's not JoJo.
So my watch list this season is:
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Psycho-Pass
Zetsuen no Tempest
My Little Monster
Medaka Box Abnormal
Magi
From the New World

Ehhh, Lucky Star wasn't that bad. It was good to switch off and unwind to and the Meito Anizawa cameo scenes were ace.
