Haven't played it. Play-asia was giving away a free steam code for it and I won. Also got a free copy of quantum theory or whatever that awful tecmo-koei tps was called. Companies do quite a lot of competitions for free shit.

Yeah, I got Penny Arcade's third RPG game for free.

Just killed a spider crawling across my duvet with my laptop. Fuck's sake man, wish the wildlife would finally rack off for the year. It's like we have to deal with the double whammy of crap weather and horrible bugs right now - the intersection of two of nature's crap parts of the year. The rended legs are smeared across my blanket, and the head and thorax or whatever it's called are dangling out of a ventilation part on the bottom of the laptop. Fuming.

Oh, ahaha. Poor laptop.

At least it doesn't took you by surprise like it happened to me once. I remember after getting up during midday, upon watching me through the mirror, I noticed I had a big spider crawling on my chest. I pushed it with my hand calmly, I was so sleepy that I didn't even reacted. It wasn't until minutes later that I got shivers thinking about it.

I had a similar experience yesterday. I was on the loo at work when a shiny beetle decided it wanted to be friends with my foot. I squished it between two sheets to toilet paper. I'm busy, dammit! I don't need a friend while pooping!

Long story short, I've entered the PR business lately for the "Sonic Revolution" team; our goal is basically to try and spread Sonic fan meetups and conventions all over the world. I've signed up to so many sites I cannot even describe how hard it is to focus on one anymore; I want to try and reach as many folks as possible through a grassroots approach. I've even become a Facebook addict, checking in every half hour or so for any notifications.

While I've seen lots of success, it's also interfered with my studies some... as fun as meteorology is, feeling valued and successful by a community just, well, appeals to me much more. I get so much praise for all my time and effort, and I'm actually given recognition rather than just being a faceless nobody. I had always dreamed of one day being as helpful to the community as Svend Joscelyne, and while I'm nowhere close, I can't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, many years down the line, doing so would actually be possible.

Overall, though I lack a paying job... I now somewhat understand what it's like to have one. I can't remember the last time I played a video game, even. All my time is devoured by PR work, course work, or commission work.

I had my goals set on a history professor, but a part of me is leaning more towards trying to get on SEGA's community team at this point, actually. Oh, why'd I have to spend so much time on one major, switch to another, and want to switch yet again? Barring money falling out of the sky, my parents would surely be infuriated if I changed yet again.

But hey, if nothing else... I've never felt more happy or satisfied with what I'm doing. Seeing all my work come to fruition, however slowly, is just amazing. Plus, it keeps the "Sonic Boom Blues" away; I've been so focused on my community work I barely even think about Sonic Boom 2014. :P

There are some people here who would tell you things like "YEAH! Follow your dreams! You can make it!" but, I just want to throw a dash of reality in before that happens: It's great that you've found something you're passionate about, especially since it's something that allows you to be a part of something bigger than yourself and it's something that allows you to help others, but focus on your uni work and get it sorted first. From there you can realistically and logically determine a successful career suited to you. Plus, you'll have your degree to fall back on should something go wrong. Besides, how many other people do you think are clambering for that SEGA job? In a time when SEGA are cutting back on jobs, scale back on the community team, and trying to save costs, do you think they're looking to hire any time soon?

Yes; thinking about this realistically focus on your school work.
