So, next month (except the U.S. since we're getting it about three months later) a new SEGA title is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, and it's a rhythm-based adventure called Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure.

The game is set in an anime version of Paris and follows the main character Raphael, an infamous thief known for stealing valuables and promptly returning them days later. Anyway the story follows him trying to snag the mysterious item known as the Wristlet of Tiamat. In addition he is trying to find out why his father mysteriously disappeared.

I posted a news piece on the game on the main site, so you can see more on the game, and the press release there. I will however place the trailer for the game below.

So what do you the rest of ya'll think of game? I'd say at first it looks kinda tedious, judging by the gameplay....

There's a demo on the 3DS store. It's not very good though, the touch controls are just really awkward and not fun at all. Shame really as I like the setting and style

I agree with the setting and style of the game but the controls....they seem so flat....hmmm...

I really like the whole streetpass idea. Basiclly, if you pass someone, you're given a challenge to beat there high schore. Then they become your "fan" and help get new characters.

Also, I never saw the Demo, where in the eshop is it?

There's a section just for demos, you'll find it there.

edit: all streetpass ideas are bad by default since streetpass is such a bad idea.

That can be a whole 'nother topic in itself! XD

I'm surprised the demo's still in the eShop....probably overlooked it...might try it out when I get home...

I liked the trailer. Pity I don't have a 3DS...

Street Pass is bad because it a) Is useless to anyone not living in a big city, b) assumes a game will be popular c) assumes people will actually bother turning on streetpass for the game d) assumes people would actually buy a 3DS.
