Something I've saw on Twitter as a hashtag was this thing called #FourGames, where people would tweet what four video games he/she think best defined their gaming childhoods. After seeing a few tweets about it I thought "might as well" and jumped on the bandwagon. Thus, my Four Games that I think were my most fondly remembered games ever played growing up.

Yes, all of them stemmed from PlayStation; even the first one. It was the gaming console of my childhood, after all. I was going to add Pokemon Silver to that but said first game edged out over it.

What are your "Four Games" that you best shape your childhood with video games? You can post the game cover too if you really want, it's up to you.

I am now waiting for those to call me a scrub for having Sonic Heroes as one of my "Four Games" XD

(Should I make a SEGA Edition of this thread too? I also think the thumbnail glitch might have ruined the reveal up there.)

Gonna go with these, from earliest to last. The original mortal kombat narrowly missed the cut.

Nice to see the OG Goldeneye 007 in there. Had lots of multiplayer matches?

Many, the main reason it was there. One of the main games we played was an improvised match up called 'Catch Coltrane'. A three on one death match where everyone would chase down whoever the poor guy playing as Robbie Coltrane was (he was the actor playing some beardy russian in the film, a huge buffoonish guy as big as a wardrobe, not easy to hide). You had to shout COLTRANE! really loudly when you first saw him. Winner was the person to kill Contrane the most. I dunno why but when we all found it really funny when we were about 11.

Needless to say, RPG's were a huge part of my childhood. Especially Star Ocean: The Second Story & Pokemon Yellow.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Revenge of Shinobi
Resident Evil
Streets of Rage 2

The first three made the biggest impact on my life, While SoR2 did more than most other games to make me appreciate video game music.

Mine would be:

Pokemon Silver
Sonic Heroes
Crash Bandicoot 2
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage

The Playstation was our first home console, and the platforming was (and still is) my favorite genre, so those two games are quite special to me. For Heroes it was my first main series Sonic game and I still consider it my favorite. As for Silver there; I was going to put Yellow originally, but then I remembered how much more fun I had with Silver version instead.

This is hard! Aargh! I will define my childhood as something until the age of 10. This makes it easier to choose the games: Double Dragon; Aero Fighters; Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
