Going by what people said, doing certain things in the game is obvious that it'll stop you from getting one ending. It seems to be a good design which gives both respect and consequence to the player due to their decisions.

How in the holy mother of assdick is that a good mechanic?
It's a huge consequence for you actions as a player, it also ties in beautifully with the story. It's not even as bad as Yoko Taro wanted it; he originally wanted to not let you backup your save, but wasn't allowed to do that lol
